Practicum/Internship Information
Students from Jacksonville State University have the opportunity to enroll in both undergraduate and graduate practicum experiences. Undergraduates serve as teachers and learn to implement Discrete Trial Training and Incidental Teaching, as well as train and encourage the typically developing children to be peer models. Graduate students have the opportunity to receive supervision hours towards certification in Applied Behavior Analysis. They act as case managers for the children with Developmental Delays and receive instruction in conducting assessments, developing teaching programs, training undergraduates and teachers, monitor and graph acquisition data, and conduct literature reviews.
