Educational Services

The Learning Tree,  Inc.  provides educational services for students ages 7-21  which meet the requirements of the Alabama State Department of Education.   Through small group and individualized instruction, our dedicated and experienced staff  provide academic and functional skills training to maximize the achievement of our students.  Instruction in the core subjects of Reading, Math, Language Arts, Social studies and Science are intertwined with programs to develop language and communication skills well as vocational skills training.  Throughout the entire school day the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis are also being used to provide the appropriate behavioral intervention to enhance our students’ educational opportunities.

In addition to our onsite school, those residential students who can best be served by attending a public school, are enrolled in such programs when appropriate. They attend local public schools with The Learning Tree, Inc.'s trained staff, providing varied levels of needed support to assist in the educational achievement of the students.
