The Learning Tree's
Tallassee Campus

The Learning Tree, Inc., Tallassee Campus is located at 101 S. Dubois St. It is conveniently situated
between Auburn and Montgomery, a few miles north of I-85. We currently serve 26 children, ranging in age from nine to 21.
The children at the Tallassee Campus live in eight houses scattered throughout the community, within a few miles of the
main campus.
The Tallassee Campus enrolled its first students on August 17, 2005. Our campus is the newest of the three campuses, with
exciting growth still ahead. Our main building is being transformed from a 1920’s-era church to a state-of-the-art school,
maintaining the architecturally rich facility in its near original state.
Our children receive educational and residential services from highly qualified and dedicated employees. Services received
by our children include an academic education certified by the Alabama Department of Education, vocational skill training,
advanced medical services, Applied Behavior Analysis from Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Alabama Department of Mental
Health and Mental Retardation certified group homes, speech therapy, occu-pational therapy, physical therapy, dietician
designed meals, and more.
The Tallassee Campus is the host of graduate and undergraduate clinical studies for many area universities. The graduate
program for Applied Behavior Analysis in the Psychology Department at Auburn University is the main supplier of interns.
For more information on university collaborations, refer to our collaborations link. As we have passed our first year mark
in Tallassee and note our many ac-complishments, we look forward to what we have in planned for the future. Some of these
plans include construction of recreational facilities, continued renovations to our school building, establishing special
funds for student services, and the ongoing evolution of a warm and rewarding environment for children served by The
Learning Tree, Inc.
