Curriculum

  • Assessments will be administered upon entry to the program and throughout attendance in the program
    • Assessments used will include but are not limited to the Brigance Early Inventory of Development, ABLLS, and Checklist of Adaptive Living Skills
  • Each student will have an IEP with measurable goals
  • Programming will be centered around the teaching of functional skills with a focus on language and social skills
  • The intensity of the program and high staff/child ratio will provide the opportunity for an increased rate of learning
  • A variety of learning opportunities will be provided
    • Field trips will be taken to the library, grocery store, restaurants, museums and parks
  • Direct Instruction Approach to academics in Reading, Mathematics, Language Arts, and Spelling
  • Students will have the opportunity to work in a classroom environment, small groups, and also receive 1:1 instruction to increase the opportunities for learning.
